The Report in preparation by the Bureau of Reclamation, United <br />states Department of Interior. dated November 1944, entitled. "A Compre- <br />hensive Report on the ControJ., Improvement and Utilization of the ,[ater <br />Resou['ces of the Colorado River Basin in Arizona. California. Colorndo, <br />Nevada. Hew He::ico. utah and :'iyoming," has been submitted in tentative <br />and incomplete form to said states for their cOlllllents and sUGgestions. <br />In its revised final form the Report is to be transmitted to Congress <br />for adoption and publicntion. <br /> <br />2, The Report on the Co lorado River Basin is said to have bcen pre- <br />pared in compliance vdth Sec. 15, 45 stat. 1057, the Boulder Canyon Pro- <br />ject Act adopted December 21. 1928, which authorized and directed the <br />Burenu of Reclamation "to make investigations and public reports of the <br />feasibility of projects for irrigation, generation of eleotrio pov~r. <br />and other purposes in the states of AriZona. Nevada. Colorndo. New I:exico, <br />Utah and l'[yoming for the purpose of making such info['mation nvailable to <br />said Stetes and to Congress. and of formulating a comprehensive scheme of <br />control and improvement and utilization of the ~ter of the Colorado <br />River and its tributaries;" and Sea. 2, 54 Stat. 774, the Boulder Canyon <br />Project Adjustment Aot adopted July 8, 1940. which authorized the "con- <br />tinuation and eA~ension of studies and investigations by the Bureau of <br />Reclamation for the formulntion of a comprehensive plan for the utiliza- <br />tion of waters of the Colorado River system for irrigation. electrical <br />power, and other purposes, in the states of the Upper Division and the <br />states of the Lomr DiviSion, including studies of quantity and quality <br />of water and all other relevant factors." <br /> <br />~,' . <br /> <br />r <br />,j. <br />;:~)," <br />,'~;";",: <br /> <br />3.
