Operator refers to the organization most recently responsible for maintenance of the gage. Abbreviations are
defined as follows: USGS - US Geological Survey, USFS - US Forest Service, CWRU - Case Western Reserve
University,
2. Record available for gage used for record extension or actual period of record if not extended.
3. Period of operation shown as "summer" indicates gage usually started before runoff and stopped in the fall
before freeze-up,

Streamflow data associated with the fluvial process sites are from stream gages operated
by the USGS, Forest Service (National Forests or Research), Case Western Reserve University,
or a combination of the above. Table 4 displays the most recent operator of the stream gage,
period of record, season of operation, gage used for record extension (if extended), and extended
period of record (if extended) for each of the fluvial process sites. Generally speaking,
streamflow measurements, gage operation, and data reduction were caiTied out by the operator of
the gage. Additional information pertaining to streamflow data for most of the fluvial process
sites can be found in Whiting et aI., (1997).

United Slates' Expert Report Disclosing Meltmologies for Quantification of Organic Act Claims Consolidated Subcase No, 63-25243

24
