<br />is not subject to a handbook-type solution. Furthe1l1!iore, the nature of
<br />sediment transport calculations requires specialized d<l'aining and experi-
<br />ence to achieve realistic results. Even when a geneUqlized procedure can
<br />be outlined, application. of that procedure must b~adone with complete
<br />understanding of underlying assumptions and backgroun~~onditions.
