The reservoir would provide water for
municipal and industrial use and generation of hydroelectric power,
reduce damaging floods in the Colorado River, and increase recreational
and fish and wkldlife values. Also, by retaining sediment and stabil-
izing streamflows, it would improve irrigation supplies and water
quality for users downstream, particularly the Grand Valley Project.

MUNICIPAL AND INDUSTRIAL WATER SUPPLY (average annual acre-feet) 73.000,

POWER

Plant capacitY (kw.)
Average annual generation (kw.-hrs.)

28,050
134.560.400

DEPLETIONS OF COLORADO RIVER (average annual acre-feet)

36,500

PROJECT COSTS

Construction costs (October 1969 prices)
Annual operation, maintenance, and replacement cost
(1967-1969 prices)

$65,488,000

$479,700

PROJECT FEATURES

Una Reservoir
Initial capacity (acre-feet)
Active
Dead and inactive
Surface area (acres)
Sediment deposition (acre-feet annually)
Una Dam
Height (feet)
Crest length (feet)
Type
Volume (cubic yards)
Earth
Concrete
Spillway capacity (second-feet)

196,000
149,100
46.900
4,230

148
2,760'
Earth and concrete

2.500,000
460,000
110,000

4

~
, .

.,

,

J
J.

~".'.'
,

,

r-
...
,
l-
I.
I
I
I
I
I

I
,
,.
I
I'
