This section wiII help you get your software <br />installed and running quickly. <br /> <br />1.1 Using this Manual <br /> <br />1.1.1 Organization <br /> <br />The User's Manual begins with three introductory sections "Getting <br />Started," "SPWRMS Design," and "Running the Application." The <br />sections that follow are organized according to the SPWRMS appli- <br />cation menu bar, starting at the left with File/Exit, and proceeding <br />from left to right to Help/ About S.Platte. <br /> <br />1.1.2 Typographical Conventions <br /> <br />In the text of Ihis manual, words which refer to items within the <br />SPWRMS graphical user intetface appear in a Helvetica typeface, as <br />in: the Edit menu, or the Export button. References to other appli- <br />cation software appear in iialic font, as in: Microsoft Windows. At <br />the beginning of first or second level sections (i.e. 1.0, 3.1). bold face <br />paragraphs guide the reader to the most important information in that <br />section. Numerous numbered headings in bold face type help the user <br />locate infonnation quickly. <br /> <br />1.1.3 Documentation Updates <br /> <br />The modular design of the SPWRMS documentation allows the user <br />to update hislher manuals section by section as SPWRMS application <br />features change. From time 10 time, supplements to the User's Man- <br />ual will be mailed to software users with instructions for merging <br />them into the existing manual. <br /> <br />Each SPWRMS manual should be kept in a three-ring binder so that <br />individual pages may be conveniently replaced as necessary. <br /> <br />To avoid confusion with outdated documentation, please be sure to <br />properly dispose of old documentation pages as new pages arrive! <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />7/31/94 <br />
