R. 1246 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Congressman Cheney, for himself and 1'1r. ~1iller <br />of California, has introduced H. R. 1246, a bill "To establish <br />a federally declared Floodway for the Colorado River below <br />Davis Dam"; and ' <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the representatives of the seven Colorado River <br />Basin States who have been appointed by the Governors or said <br />Basin States to act for them on matters relating to the flood- <br />ing on the Colorado River are drafting a unified statement of <br />position supporting the enactment of H. R. 1246: <br /> <br />NOVI, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Upper Colorado <br />River Commission, at its Adjourned Regular Meeting in Denver, <br />Colorado on April 18 , 1985, does hereby support the establish- <br />ment of a Colorado River Floodway as defined and described by <br />H . R . 1246; and <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Upper Colorado River <br />Commission supports the efforts of the representatives of the <br />seven Colorado River Basin States to adopt a statement of <br />position supporting the passage of H. R. 1246; and <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that copies of this Resolution be <br />sent to the Governors of the seven Colorado River Basin States <br />and their representatives on Colorado River flooding matters, <br />to the Secretary of the Interior and the Conunissioner of the <br />Bureau of Reclamation, to the members of the House Committee <br />on Interior and Insular Affairs, and to all members of the <br />congressional delegations of the seven Colorado River Basin <br />States. <br /> <br />CERTIFICATE <br /> <br />I, GERALD R.
