WATER <br />CONSERVATION BOARD <br /> <br />~ar Sir; <br /> <br />The enclosed packet of maps with ground water level is the first <br />annual report of tbis district since the project to establish a grid work <br />pattern of observation wells was started some 18 lJionths ago. <br /> <br />~e ar~ still continuing to drill additional wells and add them to <br />the system until we reach our target number of 118 wells throughout the <br />entire floor of the San Luis Valley. <br /> <br />The wells are mostly single purpose and used for observation only. <br />They are cased 6" in dlameter and a mlnimum of 27' deep. The wells are <br />all gravel packed and pumpable, and are pumped from the bottom yearly <br />to kee~ them clear. <br /> <br />Sea level datum has been establlshed at each site.
