It
also will provide benefits to recreation, fish and wildlife, flood
control and improve segments of the environment,

Storage will be provided in three project reservoirs--the Ridgway on
the Uncompahgre River and Dallas Creek, the Dallas Divide ~n Pleasant
Valley Creek, and the Sneva offstream from Cow Creek. Natural flows
at Ridgway Reservoir will be supplemented by flows of Cow Creek diverted
by the Cow Creek Feeder Canal. Chief distribution facility forirriga-
tion releases from the reservoir will be the McKenzie .Canal which would
receive water .pumped by the Ridgway Pumping Plant. Natural flows.at
Dallas Divide Reservoir will be supplemented by flows of the East and
West Forks of Dallas Creek diverted by the Dallas Creek Feeder Canal.
Water from this reservoir will be delivered to project lands by the
Pleasant Valley and Log Hill Mesa Canals. Sneva Reservoir will be fed
by an existing ditch from Cow Creek, a portion of which will be realigned.
Reservoir releases will be distributed by the Sneva Outlet Canal. Project
laterals and drains will be constructed as needed.

The project municipal and industrial water supply will be developed at
Ridgway Reservoir and will be delivered to the Tri-County Water Conserv-
ancy District on the Uncompahgre River below Ridgway Pumping Plant, The
district will be responsible for treatment of the water and delivery to
the water users. Water will be supplied to Olathe, Montrose, Delta, and
surrounding rural areas, .

Recreational facilities will be provided at all project reservoirs, and
specific measures would be taken at project cost for fish and wildlife.
Conservation storage in Ridgway Reservoir will be evacuated for control
of snowmelt floods as the need was indicated by forecasts,

ADMINISTRATION

.
