Water Conservation Board Press Release <br /> <br />FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE <br /> <br />Date: <br />Contact: <br /> <br />December 28, 1993 <br />Ross Bethel, 866-3441, ext. 308 Fax: 866-4474 <br /> <br />COLORADO RIVER DECISION SUPPORT SYSTEM LAUNCHED <br /> <br />Development of the Colorado River Decision Support System (CRDSS) <br /> <br />for the state of Colorado has started. The consulting team, <br /> <br />headed by Riverside Technology, inc. of Fort Collins, includes <br /> <br />Colorado State University and W.W. Wheeler and Associates. The <br /> <br />Project is co-sponsored by the Colorado Water Conservation Board <br /> <br />and the Division of Water Resources (State Engineers Office) . <br /> <br />The CRDSS is a computerized water resource information and <br /> <br />modeling environment that will improve State decisions on <br /> <br />Cblorado River interstate compact policy, water resources <br /> <br />management and water rights administration. During the first two <br /> <br />years (1994 and 1995) of the scheduled four year project, <br /> <br />emphasis will be placed on the design and development of data <br /> <br />sets, development of consumptive use and water rights planning <br /> <br />models, and incorporation of the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation's <br /> <br />Colorado River Simulation Model. <br /> <br />\ <br />I <br /> <br />Additional information on the Project is available from Ross <br /> <br />Bethel, CRDSS Project Manager, at 866-3441, ext. 308. <br />
