<br />/' <br /> <br />OQ'..2~S <br /> <br />o! <br /> <br />The first two years will focus on obtaining and organizing a wide range of basic water <br />resource information and tools, The system will include computer tools developed by the U,S, <br />Bureau of Reclamation to examine current water uses and storage in the entire Colorado River <br />Basin; as well as tools developed as part of CRDSS to determine the amount of Colorado <br />River water use in Colorado, Qi"evaluate the potential for new water uses in Colorado, <br />The result will be a computer based information system that contains key information <br />that will enable state water policymakers and administrators and others to examine potential <br />outcomes when changes to Colorado River policy or operations are proposed, <br />CRDSS is a joint undertaking of the Colorado Water Conservation Board and the <br />Colorado Division of Water Resources, The system will be available to both these agencies, as <br />well as to a wide variety of water users and others, <br />The consulting team that is developing CRDSS is headed Riverside Technology, Inc., <br />of Fort Collins and includes Colorado State University and W, W, Wheeler and Associates, A <br />technical advisory committee of major Colorado River water users is helping to guide the <br />project. <br />Additional information on the CRDSS is available from State's Project Manager, Ross <br />Bethel, at (303) 866-3441, ext. 308, <br /> <br />U# <br />
