<br />000240 <br /> <br />29 <br /> <br />ATTACHMENT A <br />SUGGESTED QUALIFICATIONS FOR RESEARCH STAFF <br /> <br />The following identify the qual ifications and estimated salary require- <br />ments for project staff included in the detailed sub-task statements and <br />in the comprehensive budget. <br />(a) Senior Agricultural Economist <br />Desired capabilities and experience--ten-plus years post-doctoral <br />research experience in using linear programming and computer <br />simulation to project direct agricul tural economic impacts of cllJnges <br />in prices, technology, resource base and public policy, Demonstrated <br />abil ity to coordinate and manage comprehensive research projects <br />and provide published output. Estimated salary--$3,200 per month, <br />(b) Senior Regional Economist <br />Desired capabilities and experience--ten-plus years of post-doctoral <br />research experience with particular abilities to formulate, develop <br />and make projections with regional input-output model s, Demonstrated <br />ability to coordinate junior research staff to complete research <br />and provide final documentation of resul ts and procedures, <br />Estimated salary--$3,100 per month. <br />(c) Research Associate (Agricul tural Economics) <br />Master's degree in agricultural economics, training and experience <br />in farm management, data collection, formulation and computer <br />solution of linear programming models. Desirable--post-master's <br />training qnd experience or recent Ph,D, Estimated sillary-- <br />$1,500-2,000 per month. <br />
