The availability of a generalized statistical package, as well as
reporting and graphics utilities, was also deemed important. Finally, utility and reservoir
system staff felt that the ability to visualize model results in a clear and precise format to aid
in decision making must be coupled with the flexibility to conduct more in-depth analyses for
specific applications/studies.

Consequently, a common set of tools must be integrated into the Decision Support System
that allows for the analysis of the results from the resident PRSYM model and non-resident
reservoir system models (e.g., the WSM), as well as real-time status information. These
tools must allow for visualization of data in pre-defined formats as well as offer the
flexibility to customize analysis of model results. The analysis tools must initially include
capabilities for conducting performance analyses, multi-objective evaluation and tradeoff
analyses, statistical analyses, and for generating reports and graphics. The system should be
designed to accommodate other types of analytical procedures, such as risk and uncertainty
analysis, at a future data.

Analysis Tools Requirements

Perfol71Ulnce Analysis

Performance analysis tools must include three components: summary of model results;
analysis of reservoir system behavior with respect to performance criteria; and the ability to
track model performance with respect to observed conditions.

Resulls Summary. It must be possible to inspect model results on a system basis or for
specific projects. This includes the generation of an operating plan, which includes a

5-1
