The 215 foot <br />high dam is a masonry arch structure <br />constructed with granite blocks which <br />were cut from a quarry within a few <br />hundred yards of the construction <br />site. When full, Pathfinder <br />Reservoir can store 1,016,507 acre- <br />feet of water. The spillway in the <br />natural rock of the left abutment <br />provides for the overflow as shown in <br />the picture. The last spill occurred <br />from June 16 to July 26, 1986 during <br />which time the reservoir elevation <br />rose to 5851.64 feet allowing water <br />to flow at 1. 54 feet deep over the <br />spillway crest. Pathfinder Dam is on <br />the National Register of historic <br />places. <br /> <br />FIRST CLASS <br />
