The school is three miles north of U. S. Highway 36, and <br />a similar distance east of Colorado H:i.ghway 102. <br /> <br />Clifford H. stone, Director of the Colorado VIater Conservation Board. and <br />R. V. Smrha, Chief Engineer of the Kansas Division of Water Resources. called <br /> <br />the gathering to get local reaction to the various possibilities that exist. <br /> <br />The Bureau of Reclamation recently completed Bonny Reservoir. near Hale. <br /> <br />Colorado. on the South Fork of the Republican River. Hater stored here is <br /> <br />available for use in the St. Francis Unit of the Missouri River Basin Project, <br /> <br />which encompasses lands in Yuma County. Colorado, and in Cheyenne County, <br /> <br />Kansas. <br /> <br />Local land\'mllers met informally last May to get preliminary information <br /> <br />about irrigation possibilities. and at that time asked for this second. more <br /> <br />comprehensive meeting. <br /> <br />A. VI. Redman. Bureau of Reclamation District Planning Engineer at McCook. <br />Nebraska. is to expla:ln alternative plans for distribution systems. to use <br />either gravity flaw or pump lift l'Iith gravity flow.
