In <br /> <br />addition, the permanent Work Group of the Colorado River Basin Salinity Control Fomm continues <br /> <br /> <br />to serve the Council and the Fomm in the capacity of a technical review and study team, The <br /> <br />Council is further assisted by the Forum's Executive Director. <br /> <br />This report provides an annual advisory and recommendations to the federal agencies concerning <br />the Council's determination of the progress of the salinity control program and the need for specific <br />actions by involved federal agencies, The report is brief and does not contain a full description and <br />analysis of the salinity control program, For the reader who is not familiar with the salinity control <br />program, it is suggested that you refer to either the Quality of Water, Colorado River Basin, <br />Progress Report No, 19, January 1999, or the 1996 Review, Water Quality Standards for Salinity. <br />Colorado River System Final Report, June 1996 and Supplemental Report, October 1996, The first <br />report can be obtained by contacting David p, Trueman, the Salinity Coordinator for the Bureau of <br />Reclamation, at (801) 524-3753,125 South State Street, Room 6107, Salt Lake City, UT 84138- <br />1102. Barnett, the Executive Director for <br />the Colorado River Basin Salinity Control Forum, at (801) 292-4663, 106 West 500 South, Suite <br />101, Bountiful, UT 84010, <br /> <br />The Council met in Santa Fe, New Mexico on October 19 & 20, 1998, At that meeting, the Council <br />received reports from and made inquiries of the federal agencies involved in salinity control, and <br />approved the budget recommendations contained in this report, The Council received public <br />comment and left the record open to allow for written comment by the public but no additional <br />comments were received.
