<br />Task 9 - User Preference/Program Setup Functionality <br />Responsibility: RTi <br /> <br />Objective: Develop the following seven (7) user preferences: a Network Settings option, <br />Database Sync option. a Map option, a Time Interval option, a Water District Filter <br />option, Files Locations option, and Run-Time options. <br /> <br />Approach: <br /> <br />9.1. Options GUI In this subtask, the Options GUI will be developed as a static tabbed <br />dialog similar to that used in MS Word. The Options GUI ",ill be used to define the <br />default variables used in the CWRA T application. The Options GUI is reached via <br />selecting the Iools I Options menu item on the main menu bar. It will include tabs <br />for the Network Settings. Database Sync, Map. Time Interval. Water District Filter. <br />Files Locations. and Run-Time. <br /> <br />9.1.1. Network Settings The Net\....ork Settings option (similar to figure 9.1.1.) IS <br />reached via selecting the Iools I Options menu item on the main menu bar and <br />selecting the Network Settings tab. Once the GUI is opened, the user will be able <br />to view/edit CWRA T server IP address and the user's login name. The following are <br />the descriptions of the elements of the GUI: <br />Network Connection group box: The user must select their connection type. <br />Direct Connection oDtion button: <br />Dial-Uo Connection ootion bunon: <br />Dial-Uo Apolication text box: The dialer application name and location. <br />Browse bunon: Loads directory/program browser (see Figure 9.1.S.b.) <br />CWRA T Server text box: The user must enter the IP address of the server. <br />User Name text box: The user must enter their login name. <br />OK button: Accepts and stores user preferences. <br />Cancel bunon: De-activates GU] without saving preferences. <br />HelD button: Provides a description of the screen. <br /> <br /> <br />Figure 9.1.1.
