<br />RECEIVED <br />JAN 30 1998 <br /> <br />00037.t <br /> <br />Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board <br /> <br />January 1998 <br /> <br />PUBLIC REVIEW DRAFT <br />CALIFORNIA WA TER PLAN UPDATE <br />BULLETIN 160-98 <br /> <br />Enclosed for your review and comment is a copy of the California Water <br />Plan Update, Bulletin 160-98, The Department of Water Resources publishes <br />an update of the plan every five years. Bulletin 160-98 is the latest in a series <br />of water plan updates. The updates evaluate California's water needs, assess <br />water supplies available to meet those needs, and review actions to help reduce <br />future water shortages. <br /> <br />The Department will accept written comments on the draft report through <br />March 31, 1998. Public meetings on the draft are being scheduled for Redding, <br />Sa-cramento, Concord, Fresno, Ontario, and Rancho Mirage during the last two <br />weeks of February, Meeting locations and dates will be announced later. <br /> <br />Please send written comments on the draft to: <br /> <br />Jeanine Jones, Chief <br />Statewide Planning Branch <br />Department of Water Resources <br />P.O.
