<br />I, <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />18~9 <br /> <br />Plata and Montezuma counties and are adjacent to San Juan County <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />which supports a large acreage of agricultural plantings. Other <br /> <br />counties located in the vicinity of the reservations include <br /> <br />II <br /> <br />Archuleta County, Colorado; San Juan County, Utah; and Apache <br /> <br />County, Arizona. These counties do not have the diversified <br /> <br />II <br /> <br />cropping pattern which occurs adjacent to reservation lands. <br /> <br />Further, because of the large geographic extent of these counties, <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />much of the crop production is probably somewhat removed from <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />reservation lands. The cropping pattern in these counties consists <br /> <br />largely of dryland winter wheat and irrigated and dryland alfalfa and <br /> <br />I, <br /> <br />other hay crops. These crops are also planted in the vicinity of the <br /> <br />reservations. <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />A summary of the historic cropping pattern during the period 1975 <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />through 1984 is shown on Table 2.1 and 2.2.
