The purpose was to expla.in the <br />project to the local people tlnd to lH."'ur their comments. Two main <br />fenrs were expressed by loet11 people. <br />1. Thllt existing water lISes would be adversely llfTet.ted, and <br />2. That rights to ground wnt.er in Colorndo might become <br />vested in downst.retllTI interests. <br />The San Luis Vnllev 'YMer Consernmcv District Board ha.''; con- <br />ditionally approved the project on eondit.ion thnt,: <br />1. The works proposed be constructed and opertlted by' the <br />United Stlltes. <br />2.
