<br />Employed initially as a hydrologic, project engineer responsible for
<br />completing hydrology analyses and hydraulic studies for drainage and
<br />flood control projects. An initial ,assignment\,was to program the
<br />Colorado Urban Hydrograph Procedure, to include a hydrograph lagging
<br />and adding routine and a simple reservoir routing routine, all on an
<br />IBM 1130. Also, special training was received from the Corps of
<br />Engineers, Hydrologic Engineering Center personnel on the use and
<br />application of the HEC-2 Water Surface Profiles computer program,
<br />in 1972.

<br />In 1973, became a Project Manager and eventually Manager of the Drain-
<br />age and Flood Control Section of the firm. Responsibilities increased
<br />to include proposal preparation, project layout, personnel assignments,
<br />budgeting and scheduling, client laison, and project reporting includ-
<br />ing public presentations. .

<br />Principal designation was given in 1974 and responsibilities included
<br />serving as Manager of the Municipal and Water Resources Section, over-
<br />seeing 20 engineers and technicians involved in a full range of en-
<br />gineering projects including hydrology and hydraulic studies of flood
<br />plains, drainage and flood control system planning, hydraulic facilities
<br />design, civil works design, waste-water system analysis and design,
<br />water transmission system analysis and design and const.ruction manage-
<br />ment. Responsibilities were both administrative and job related,
<br />involving contract negotiation, project assignments, staffing,
<br />project review and quality control, new business development and
<br />proposal preparation.

<br />Ownership in the firm was obtained in 1973. Have also been a director
<br />and officer in the firm since 1975. Upon resigning, was Executive
<br />Vice President and also a director of Riford Corporation, a site develop-
<br />ment entity partially owned by Gingery Associates, Inc.

<br />Detailed and approximate flood insurance studies in 65 Colorado
<br />and Utah communities, involving the determination of 10-, 50-,
<br />100-, and 500-year flood magnitudes and profiles, production of
<br />flood boundary and floodway maps, flood insurance rate maps, and
<br />reports.
