In the following evaluations, it is oonsidered <br />that the Rio Grande will be affeoted through inundation or through <br />modifioation of flow regimens from a point about 6 miles above Creede. <br />Colorado, to the Conejos River oonfluenoe near the town of La Sauses, <br /> <br /> <br />Colorado. (See Ple. te I.) <br /> <br /> <br />Engineering Features <br /> <br /> <br />3, Wagon Wheel Gap Dam, to be looa ted on the Rio Grande 1 <br /> <br /> <br />mile above its oonfluenoe with Goose Creek and about 8.5 miles <br /> <br /> <br />below Creede, Colorado. will be a oonorete aroh struoture 260 feet <br /> <br /> <br />high above streambed with a spillway through the right abuiment of <br /> <br /> <br />the dam, A glory-hole type spillway at elevation 8,1$5.0* will be <br /> <br /> <br />oapable of passing a flow of 8,600 seoond-feet at elevation 8,1$9.5. <br /> <br /> <br />There will be 2 outlet pipes 84 inohes in diameter with 84-inoh <br /> <br /> <br />hollow-jet valves. Eaoh outlet pipe will pass 1.500 seoond-feet <br /> <br /> <br />at elevation 8,515. Invert elevation will be 8,460.
