The monthly <br />release in acre-feet at peak flow is computed by subtracting the monthly <br />release at base flow from the reservoir release through the powerplant <br />for the month. The number of hours of generation at peak flows is then <br />computed by dividing the monthly release in acre-feet at peak flow by <br />the difference between peak flow discharge and base flow discharge, and <br />applying the proper conversion factors to convert to hours. The number <br />of hours of generation at base flow is computed as the difference of the <br />number of hours in the month and the number of hours of generation at <br />peak flow. If the monthly release from the reservoir in cubic feet per <br />second is greater than the peak discharge, then the number of hours of <br />generation at base flow is set to zero. The number of hours of genera- <br />tion at each flow level is multiplied by the powerplant capacity at each <br />level and added together to obtain the total energy produced for the <br />month in kilowatt hours. <br /> <br />46 <br />
