0321'~

(Addenda: Paleontology)

There are obvious Geological values to this segment as
best exemplified by the visual appearance of the Brown's Park
Formation.

It should be of interest that there are also Paleontological
values, not visible but of research values.

One of the oldest known Mastodonts comes from around the town
of Greystone (to the east of this segment) from the Brown's Park
Formation which is Miocene Age. Additionally, and again according
to P. Robinson (Director of the University of Colorado Museum and
my consultant for the Office's State Paleontological responsibilities)
there are Pliestocene mammoths known from the nearby town of Maybell.
Again there is a research merit for Paleontological values with the
possible potential of innovative paleontological vistas.

(Conclusions on Addenda)

The Geological values are outstanding and the Paleontological
values are excellent.
