Please find enclosed:

a. A short briefing paper which I have prepared on the
status of Colorado's six Congressionally authorized
reclamation projects.

b. Excerpts from the Carter Administration's budget
request for the Water and Power Resources Service.
Changes to the request are, of course, being made
by the new Administration. Thus far, we have been
apprised of the fact that the funding request for
continuing construction on the Dolores project has
been reduced by about $3 million. Since the Presi-
dent's final budget message is due on March 10th,
we may have further details in time for the Board
meeting on the 11th.

2. Representative of all three W&PRS regions with activities in
Colorado will be at our meeting to explain the President's
budget.

/

BM: tam

Enclosures: as stated

COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD, Frederick V.
