(Based on analysis of the USGS Report 83-4220 entitled 'A Method for Estimating Ground-Water Retum Aow to the
Lower Colorado River In the Yuma Area')
(E) Diversion*milage weighted share of Gila Main Canal loss less canal surface evaporation (1397 aflyr) and phreatophytes (2154 af/yr).
(F) Additional unmeasured amounts of return flows from the Yuma Mesa Irrigation and Drainage District, 'Unit B', the Cocopah Indian
Reservation, and the Yuma Cotlnty Water Users Association (YCWUA) are utilized to meet consumptive uses in the United States and in
partial satisfaction of the Mexican Treaty obligation. Some of thes underground flows are recovered by pumping from wells on the
Cocopah Indian Reservation and in the YCWUA area, and by some of the surface drains in the YCWUA area. Efforts will be made to at least
quantify these return flows within broad limits by respective water user entities in future yeaf$.
81 Diversion adjusted for delivery to Mohave Valley l. Reclamation
is working to develop a method to separate the different sources of retum flow and will apply that methodology when available.
101 W~ter pumped from wells or diverted from the mod for service. potable and irrigation water.

c
o
o
(.,;)
Co::)
c::

13
