<br /> <br />. <br /> <br />purpose of future oil shale development. The Department of Justice <br />has advised that the Navy's claim has a tentative and preliminary <br />figure of 200,000 acre-feet annually and that this claim has not yet <br />been adjudicated in the Colorado courts. Because the claim is not <br />now the subject of a decree, it has not been listed as a firm <br />commitment in the attached factual material. However, this amount <br />of water has not been included in the figures for non-Federal oil <br />shale development except as an interim source. <br /> <br />As described elsewhere, there are other consumptive uses presently <br />being made by Federal agencies in the Basin, such as Fish and Wildlife <br />Service (hatcheries, refuges, etc.); Forest Service and National Park <br />Service (campgrounds, etc.); Bureau of Land Management (national <br />resource uses, described elsewhere).
