<br />1_= <br /> <br />Rl099 <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />of the NJrth Platte Project, but were constructed for the Casper-Alcova project. <br />The Seminoe Reservoir is located upstrenQ from the P~thfinder and Alcova im- <br />mediately down stream from P~thfinder. All of the water captured in those <br />reservoirs during the past storage season, w~s for use of the North Platte <br />Project because the season's river flow was insuffi<<ient to satisfy rights <br />senior to those of the Seminoe and Alcova reservoirs. <br /> <br /> <br />Hjwever, water that belonged to the P~thfinder Reservoir was stored <br /> <br /> <br />in the Semonoe Reservoir for the purpose _f generating power and was released <br /> <br /> <br />to Pathfinder as needed. <br />P:'.thfinder water was also stored in Alcova Reservoir for the purpQse Qf <br /> <br />seasoning the Reser~oir and besides it is necessary to pass some water over <br /> <br />the spillway, in addition to th~t which vall flow through the gates, in order <br />to supply the needs of appropriators farther dOlvn the stream. Water was not <br />delivered to lands under the Casper-Alcova project during the 1939 season, <br />The carry-over in the P~thfinder Reservoir at the end of the 1938 <br />season, September 31, was 247,440 acre feet. <br />The reports of snow in the water. shed during the fall and winter gave <br />every indication )f at least a normal run off but the snow fall and rain were <br />deficient during the late spring, and the weather was hot, dry and windy, <br />which combinatiJn resulted in one of the lightest runs-off since 1934, <br />The t )tal run-off reaching P:.thfin,cer Reservoir for the 1939 season <br />waS 657,980 acre feet. <br />The following ~abulntion shown inflow, outflow, storage and comparative <br />carry-over in the several r0S<31'voirs.
