The backfill was spread in horizontal lifts not exceeding 12 inches loose <br />thickness. Each lift was compacted to at least 95 percent of the maximum standard <br />Proctor density with at least 6 passes of a 950 caterpillar loader or 6 passes of a BPF <br />480 Ingersoll-Rand compactor. Standard Proctor, sand cone density, and nuclear <br />, . <br />density test results are attached to this letter. The backfill materials were accepted for <br />use based on visual classification in the field and gradation and Atterberg limits test <br />results supplied by the contractor. All test results are attached. <br /> <br />Conclusions And Recommendations <br /> <br />Based on our observations, we believe thauh~ sinkhole capping work was completed <br />in substantial compliance with the t~chiiicals;~~ifications.
