Board of to order 1986 by Directors at 7:30 Chairman 8Qbb ~Bbb Answering to roll call was Lawrence Aubert, James Burkhalter, Wallace Downer, Dick Fletcher, Dorothy Hoskin, Bill Mc Cleneghan, Kenneth Matchett, Harold Mogensen, Lehman Pond, Herman Porterfield, Robert Saunders, Jacque Stafford. Lawrence Kareus arrived after roll call. Also in attendance was Ray Sparkman, Charlie Stockton, Tom Crumpton and Judy Pierle. ~l~WI~~ The Chairman ask for any corrections and for a motion on the minutes and the revised first page. Since the minutes of the previous meeting had been distributed to the Board prior to the meeting a motion was made by Kenneth Matchett, second by James Burkhalter and carried to dispense with the reading of the minutes and to approve as presented. The Chairman welcome new Board Member Lawrence Kareus to the Ute Board meeting. ~lbb8 Bills totaling $ 58,141.04 were distributed to the Board for their approval, also a listing of all checks written prior to the Board meeting totaling $34,321.88. After discussion of the bills,the Manager reported the high Attorney bills were due to the Fruita issue, BLM appeal, and water rights that the District is continuing to work with the Attorneys. A motion was made by Harold Mogensen, second by Lehman Pond and carried to approve the bills for payment. The Manager reported that a listing of all Committee assignments set by the Chairman have been distributed to each of the Board members by the request of the Chairman.
