The hatchery is located in Cedaredge and obtains its water
from springs tributary to Surface Creek, a tributary of the Gunnison River. The hatchery tested
positive for whirling disease in 2001 and the owner needs to rehabilitate the hatchery at a cost of
$97,945. The Four Seasons Trout Farm is registered with the Colorado Secretary of State.
McMillon Engineering completed plans and specifications for the project and the CWCS Staff
completed the feasibility study. Proposed funding for the project consists of a CWCS loan for
$85,500, a $1,435 CWCS grant for engineering and feasibility work, and $11,010 from the
Company.

Location Map
6
