Preparation of detailed plans and specifications for <br />authorized projects by consulting engineering firm. <br /> <br />3. Approval of detaIled plans and specifications by Board <br />staff (plans and specIfications for storage dams dnd <br />reservoIrs must also be approved by State EngIneer's <br />office) . <br /> <br />4. Board staff approval of bidding for the project. Board <br />staff present at b~d opening for construction. <br /> <br />5. Project sponsor may issue the notice of award and the <br />notice to proceed wIth construction to the contractor <br />(both notices. must be approved by the Board staff befor~ <br />they are issued). <br /> <br />6. Conduct a pre-construction conference. Approval of <br />constructIon schedule by Board staff. <br /> <br />7. Constructlon commences. The Board staff makes periodic <br />Inspections durIng constructIon. All change orders must <br />be approved by the Board staff In advance and before any <br />construction on change Items can commence. Emergency <br />items cieared by teiephone. . <br /> <br />8. The consulting engineer 'certifies that the project has <br />been completed according to approved drawings and <br />specificatIons' and arranges for final inspectio.n. <br /> <br />9. Final inspection and acceptance of as-built project by <br />Board staff. <br /> <br />10.
