The <br />Association has requested that their loan authorization be increased by $100,000, Please <br />see the attached project summary and map, <br /> <br />Backaround . . _ <br />The CRPOA, located in Adams County, represents property owners within the Columbine <br />Ranches Subdivision. The Association provides raw water to property owners through an <br />existing well and pipeline system, The water is used for irrigation, livestock watering, and <br />fire protection, and represents an existing water use. The well has a junior water right and <br />must be augmented to replace its consumptive use, The CRPOA wants to buy water rights <br />for this purpose. The purchase cost includes $7,000 for the cost of engineering to evaluate <br />the water rights purchased, <br /> <br />Feasibilitv Studies <br />Robert Longenbaugh P.E. completed the Feasibility Study November 12,1998, The study <br />includes an assessment of alternatives available to provide raw water to the subdivision, <br />The cost of the study was paid by the CRPOA. <br /> <br />The Columbine Ranches Property Owners Association <br />The Association is a nonprofit corporation registered in the State of Colorado. There are <br />54 members (one for each of the 54 lots within the subdivision), and each member has <br />one vote. Membership in the Association is required by the Covenants as a condition of <br />property ownership within the subdivision, The Association also has the power to set <br /> <br />Flood Protection.
