The <br />State through this Amendment agrees to increase the funding as dedicated to <br />the purpose of the Jefferson County Mountain Ground Water Resources Study <br />from $50,000 up to $65,000. <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />The State and the County entered into a contract dated February 17,1999, <br />wherein the State agreed to provide funds in the total amount of $50,000 for a <br />ground water assessment (study) that will define the present quality and quantity <br />of the ground water resources in the mountainous portions of Jefferson County, <br />including ground water levels and precipitation.
