Phillip J, Voegtle, P,E" the technical consultant to the Authority, will <br />be at the January meeting to make a presentation and answer questions, <br /> <br />Background <br /> <br />The El Paso County Water Authority consists of sixteen water districts, municipalities, and <br />the county, The Authority is governed by a five member board, <br /> <br />In 1997, the Authority hired G~S, Inc, of Colorado Springs to conduct an inventory of <br />county water purveyors to determine the amount of water each owns and supplies, and their future <br />needs, This was to be an initial step towards the preparation of an El Paso County Water <br />Resources Study, <br /> <br />In 1998, the Authority adopted a five year program of technical studies aimed at the <br />development of a long range, county wide Water Master Plan, The purpose of the plan is to <br />develop water resources, s stems, and facilities in whole or in part for the benefit of Authority <br />members and their' itaii., and other residents of the county, now and into the future, <br />~ -'-? <br />~~), <br />~: <br /> <br />1 <br />
