"

..

.

.

. The water level maps of the Denver Basin Region will be prepared for up to four distinct
time periods (likely within the 1950's, 1970's, 1990's and for the current year (2002)
conditions for each aquifer layer, including the location of data used in the contouring.

. For the Denver Basin Region the mapped aquifers include the following, as defined in the
SPDSS Feasibility Study:

Alluvium ofthe South Platte and its tributaries

Upper Dawson

Lower Dawson

Denver

Upper Arapahoe
Lower Arapahoe
Laramie-Fox Hills

. The water level maps of the Lower South Platte Region will be prepared for up to three
distinct time periods (likely within the 1970's, 1990's and for the current year (2002)
conditions for each aquifer, including the location of data used in the contouring.

. For the Lower South Platte Region the mapped aquifers include the following, as defined
in the SPDSS Feasibility Study:

- Alluvium of the Lower South Platte and its tributaries

. The dates and number of mapped time periods will depend on the spatial and temporal
distribution of data. The final time periods and number of periods mapped for each
Region will be decided in collaboration with the State after the data have been collected
and reviewed.

. Maps of head differences between aquifers within the Denver Basin Region will be
prepared from available data, including that of nest (co-located) wells.

. Hydrographs of groundwater levels also will be prepared for up to 40 wells in the Denver
Basin and for up to 20 wells in the Lower South Platte Regions and will be selected to
provide a good spatial distribution across each Region and aquifer, as data allow.

. The Relational and Spatial System Integration and GIS Consultant will provide base maps
in digital format to be used for mapping. These will be in the coordinate system and
format consistent with other SPDSS products.

. The maps and hydro graphs will be evaluated and revised based on the presence of outliers,
comparison to existing maps and hydro graphs, consultation with SEa and CWCB staff
familiar with the data, and professional judgment.

SPDSS Groundwater SOW, Phase 1

Page 17
