( <br />.~ . <br /> <br />i <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Exhibit A <br /> <br />Scope of Work <br />SPDSS Phase I <br />Ground Water Component <br /> <br />September 9, 2002 <br /> <br />Introduction <br /> <br />Following is the Phase I Scope of Work for the ground water component of the South Platte <br />Decision Support System (SPDSS). The Scope of Work is based on the SPDSS Feasibility Study <br />final report dated October 2001. The data collection and analysis activities will occur within the <br />Denver Basin and Overlying Alluvium Region (hereafter referred to as the Denver Basin Region) <br />and the Lower South Platte Alluvium Region (hereafter referred to as the Lower South Platte <br />Region). The locations and extents of these ground water regions are defined in the SPDSS <br />Feasibility Study. <br /> <br />The SPDSS implementation will occur in phases. The objectives of this Phase I ground water <br />scope of work are as follows: <br /> <br />. Collect and analyze historical data on geologic structure, aquifer properties and water <br />levels within the Denver Basin and Lower South Platte Regions. <br /> <br />. Design and implement the Phase I alluvial and bedrock well drilling and testing program <br />to supplement the historical data. <br /> <br />. Analyze and map geologic structure, aquifer properties and water level data. <br /> <br />Table I lists the Phase I ground water activities identified in the SPDSS Feasibility Study to <br />achieve these objectives. The Task numbers were assigned by the Colorado Water Conservation <br />Board, the lead agency on this project, with activities corresponding to Appendix C of the SPDSS <br />Feasibility Study. Several of the numbered tasks in Table I address individual analysis steps for a <br />single data type. These tasks are combined in this SOW to reflect the work that will be conducted <br />and the resulting deliverables.
