November 24-25,1997, Board Meeting- <br />North Poudre Irrigation Company <br /> <br />Approval of a Construction Fund Authorization in amount of $7SIl,1l1l1l <br />$935,000 for ~ehabilitation of portions of the irrigation system, and approval <br />of a $2000 grant from the Small Dam Site Reconnaissance Fund to complete <br />the Feasibility Study. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br /> <br />The North Poudre Irrigation Company (located in Larimer County) has applied for a <br />Consttuction Fund Authorization to undertake 5 rehabilitation projects as follows: <br /> <br />1. Indian Creek Reservoir spillway consttuction; $150K. <br />2. North Poudre Reservoir #5 spillway consttuction; $150K. <br />3. North Poudre Reservoir #4 full dam rehabilitation; $350K <br />4. Pipe the ditch below North Poudre #6 dam; $200K. <br />5. Pipe a portion of North Poudre's Buckeye Lateral; $150K. <br /> <br />The Company is requesting a $1SIl,1l1l1l $935,000 Authorization from the Consttuction Fund for <br />these projects, 75 % of the estimated total cost of $I mil.lisa $1,244,950. These facilities are <br />located north of Fort Collins, generally in the vicinity of the Town of Wellington (see attached <br />map.) The reservoirs have a combined capacity of 11973 acre feet. <br /> <br />Smith Geotechnical Engineers has completed reconnaissance level engineering design work and a <br />cost estimate for these projects. Smith Geotechnical has been hired by the Company to complete <br />the feasibility study. <br />
