<br />... <br /> <br />EXHIBIT A <br /> <br />JUl2 81,S? ~ <br /> <br />CON~~ADo WATER <br />.....wATtON SOAR <br />SERVICES 0 <br /> <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />AGREEMENT FOR ENGINEERING <br /> <br />This Agreement, made this ~ day of July, 1987, by and <br />between THE SANTA MARIA RESERVOIR COMPANY, a Colorado <br />Corporation, hereinafter referred to as the "OWNER" and HYDRO- <br />TRIAD, LTD., a Colorado Corporation, hereinafter referred to as <br />the "ENGINEER". <br /> <br />The OWNER intends to evaluate and determine a technical and <br />economically feasible method of controlling or eliminating the <br />seepage at Santa Maria and Continental Dams such that the cur- <br />rent storage hold orders may be removed. This will enable <br />storage to the full decreed storage for both Dams, an increase <br />of nearly 20,000 acre-feet. This feasibility study may be paid <br />for in part with financial assistance from the state of Colorado <br />acting through the Colorado Water Conservation Board, herein- <br />after referred to as "CWCB". <br /> <br />The ENGINEER represents that it is a professional engineer- <br />ing firm with the experience and expertise to perform the fea- <br />sibility study in a satisfactory and timely manner, and agrees <br />to perform all of the various professional engineering services <br />for the feasibility study. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual covenants and <br />promises between the parties hereto, it is expressly agreed as <br />follows: <br /> <br />SECTION A - ENGINEERING SERVICES <br /> <br />The ENGINEER shall furnish engineering services as follows: <br /> <br />STUDY METHODOLOGY <br /> <br />The santa Maria and Continental Dams rehabilitation feasi- <br />bility study will consist of the following major steps: <br /> <br />A. Data Collection and coordination <br /> <br />The initial phase of the study will consist of the assembly <br />and review of available information needed to adequately assess <br />the project feasibility. This process will include the follow- <br />ing activities: <br /> <br />1. Review of documents pertaining to the initial con- <br />struction and subsequent modifications to the embank- <br />ment, outlet works, spillway and related structures. <br /> <br />EXHIBIT A <br /> <br />-1- <br />
