The reservoirs are located on private <br />land and are not accessed by the public. <br /> <br />The project will have a positive economic impact by assisting the GMSLCC to more efficiently <br />provide irrigation water to over 160 acres of irrigated farm land. <br /> <br />The project will have no significant physical impacts except in the immediate vicinity of the <br />construction. These impacts will be minor in nature and will affect an area of less than 5 acres <br />outside of the reservoirs. <br /> <br />PERMITTING <br /> <br />The Corps of Engineers were contacted and have concurred that this project meets the criteria of <br />for a Nation Wide Permits which will not require formal permitting. A copy of their letter is <br />included in Appendix F. <br /> <br />INSTITUTIONAL CONSIDERATIONS <br /> <br />No institutional considerations exist other than the proposed loan from the CWCB. <br /> <br />Giffin Reservoir-Feasibility Study <br /> <br />Page 8 <br />
