I ESTABLISHED APRIL 24. 1882 )>- 01
~ Delta Cou.:nty, Colorado ~

Alternatives Considered

1. Do nothing.

2. Construct 8,250' of concrete ditch lining with needed
structures. Total Estimated cost was $173,300.00.

3. Construct 5,750' of concrete ditch lining (CDL) with
needed structures. Install 3 phase electric power and pump to
pump 20 cubic feet per sec. from Uncompahgre River into CDL,
eliminating need to maintain historical point of diversion upstream.
Estimated cost was $141,900.00, not including cost to establish
pumping platform/new diversion point or cost to deliver 3 phase
. power to pump.

4. Construct 6,030' of concrete ditch lining with needed
structures. Total estimated cost is $132,590.00.

Alternative 4 was selected since it provides the most benefit for the
least cost. A water control structure with provision to spill excess
water back to the Uncompahgre River will be constructed at the
beginning of approximately 6030' CDL along with the necessary
diversion structures and will have a capacity of20 cubic feet per sec.

pg. 8
