Purdy, Thomas Vickers, and <br /> <br />George W. Moody, residents of the state of Colorado have associated ourselves to- <br /> <br />gather as a corporation under the name and style of "The Purdy & Vickers Ditch Co." <br />for the purpose of becoming a body corporate and poldltic under the laB's of the <br />state of Colorado and in accordance with the laW's of said SttLte we hereny make, <br />execute and acknowledge this certlficat in ft~f. writing of OUt' intention to become <br /> <br />a body corporate under and by virtue of said laws.. <br /> <br /> <br />FIRST: The corpora.te name of our said corporation shall be "The Purdy and Vicke"rs <br /> <br />Ditch Company" <br /> <br />SECOND; The objects far which our ~id company is formed and incorporated are to <br /> <br />maintain, construct and operate a ditch or canal for conveying water for domestic p <br /> <br /> <br />purposes and irrigation in the County of Delta, and State of Colorado, and to <br /> <br />construct, maintain and operate lateral or branch irrigating ditches from the main <br /> <br /> <br />line of said ditch for the proper distribution of water for the purposes herein <br /> <br />set forth. To supply the stockholders of our Company with water, and to sell, rent, <br /> <br />or lease any supplus thereof or rights thereto for the uses and purposes above <br /> <br />mentioned. To acquire, hold and Use such premises along the line of our said ditch <br /> <br />as may be necessary for the right of way therefor, or in the construction, or <br /> <br />maintenaDce thereof. To do any or all things that may be incident or conducive <br /> <br />to the attainment of any of the aforesaid objects, or to the usual powers of <br /> <br />corporate bodies. <br /> <br />THIRDS Our corporation shall exist for the term of twenty years, aommencing from <br /> <br />the date of execution of these articles. <br /> <br />FOURTH: The Capital stock of our COlllpany shall be one thousaod dollars, divided <br /> <br /> <br />into one hundred shares of ten dollars, each. <br /> <br />FIFl'l:l: The affairs and management at our said company shall be under the control <br /> <br />of three directors and the names of those who shall as directors manage said <br /> <br />affairs for the first year, and Wltil their successors are Elected and qualified <br />
