the former Vincent ~oir Nos. 1 and 2 (now known as Pali."t1e
Reservoirs Nos. 4 and 5).

The Town's primary ~torage facility is Palisade Cabin Reservoir.
Palisade Cabin Reservoir fills under four changed water rights (which
comprise the most senior rights for the reservoir), as well as under
three water rights which were originally decreed for storage in the
reservoir. All of these storage rights have 27 decreed alternate
points of diversion wlUch cover all of the Town's collection points
which can flow by gravity into Palisade Cabin Reservoir. These
include the Town's Kmzen Springs collection facilities, as well as all
of the Town's collection system in the Rapid Creek and Cottonwood
Creek basins except f()r the lower Cottonwood Springs and the
Lower Cottonwood Cteek Intake.

The Egger Ditch and Egger Reservoir water rights were changed to
allow storage of up tCl 85 acre feet per year in Palisade Cabin
Reservoir for municipQ1 uses. A portion of the water rights
originally decreed for Vincent Reservoirs Nos. 1 and 2 were also
changed to allow storllge of up to 210.52 acre feet per year in
Palisade Cabin Reservoir for municipal uses. The balance of the
storage rights originally decreed for Vincent Reservoirs Nos. 1 and 2
have been abandoned.

The water rights originally decreed for storage in Palisade Cabin
Reservoir include an I)riginal storage right and a 1st and 2nd
e1argement of 166 acre feet, 634 acre feet and 11.48 acre feet per
year, respectively. These rights were decreed for municipal uses.
The original storage right for Palisade Cabin Reservoir is protected
from Colorado River ealls by Green Mountain storage releases.
However, the 1st and 2nd enlargement rights do not receive Green
Mountain protection and would be subject to Colorado river ealls
unless protected by other replacement supply sources such as Ruedi
Reservoir water.

The storage rights for Palisade Reservoir No. 1 and Palisade
Reservoir No. 3 were originally decreed for storage in those
reservoirs for municipal uses and are protected from Colorado River
calls by Green Mountain storage releases.

Granat and Denison l{eservoirs were constructed in 1993. Filings
were made for 8 AF for Granat and 12 AF for Denison in 1994.
They are at the same location as the proposed Palisade Reservoir
No.2.

lV-II

I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
