Contract between City of Greeley
Water and Sewer Board and
State of Colorado Water
Conservation Board Concerning
Dams of Commanche,Peterson and Twin Lakes.

The Water and Sewer Board of the City of Greeley, Colorado
was created under Article XVII of the Home Rule Charter
of the City of Greeley. The Charter was adopted pursuant
to the Home Rule provisions of the Colorado Constitution.

The Board under Section 17-4 of the Charter is granted the
power and is required to "Acquire, develop and protect
the water supplies decreed adjudicated or contracted for,
for the City of Greeley".

The dams of Commanche, Peterson and Twin Lakes are part
of the water supplies for the City of Greeley.

An election is not necessary as the Water Supply exception
and Home Rule provisions of the Colorado Constitution
apply. There are no provisions in Greeley's Code of
Ordinances, Charter or State law that prevents the
contract from binding Greeley.
