.

question of oil-shale fragments in the aggregate mix may not be
significant. At the present, an RCC dam is being constructed on the
Middle Fork of Parachute Creek, about 30 mi northwest of the Webster
Hill Reservoir site, using 100% Green River Formation Marlstone
(which contains oi l-shale) as the RCC aggregate. Further testing
during the final geotechnical investigation will locate specific
acceptable quarry sites. The deposits within the reservoir should
also provide the materials to be used for shore protection (rip-rap),
raising of railroad embankments, and raising of highway embankments.

G. CONCLUSION
Considering all of the geologic and geotechnical factors outlined in
the previous sections, the selected site for the dam axis is suitable
for construction of the proposed RCC dam with a maximum reservoir
pool elevation of 5,250 ft.

.

.

IV-9
