Nick Ioannides

Re: Monument Reservoir Dam, #834098

Dear Mr. Ioannides:

As requested in our telecom of June 6, 1983, the following
water rights information relative to the above referenced
project is for your use in continuing the application process.
The information is as provided by Mr. David Johnston, board
member of the Minnesota Ditch and Reservoir Co.

Monument Reservoir Dam has two water rights for storage. The
first decree is for 1,285.28 acre feet, which was appropriated
on June 5, 1899, and adjudicated on June 23, 1914. The second
is a refill decree of 250 acre feet which was decreed on June
15, 1978 and made absolute on October 29, 1982.

Regarding the question of a safe yield during a dry year, it is
my opinion that base data from 1977 is the best measurement.
Accordingly, as represented by Mr. Johnston, Monument Reservoir
was completely filled during 1977. Since the reservoir has a
physical capacity of 516 acre feet, it is my opinion that this
represents a reliable dry year yield.

If you have any questions or need any additional information
regarding these items, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Sincerely,

ARMSTRONG & ASSOCIATES, INC.

,((/---~~
David M.
