TIME SCHEDULES: The study will require about I year for collection and compilation of <br />basic data and 2 years for data interpretation, contouring maps, and <br />preparation of the draft final reports. Project activities will begin in <br />October I, 1996, pending completion of funding arrangements. Timely <br />undertaking of this study will enable more compreher:sive results because <br />of the close cooperation now possible with the ongoing U.S. Geological <br />Survey sludy of the water quality of the South Platte River System <br />(NA WQA). <br /> <br />J. COST: <br /> <br />Total cost for the work outlined in thi~ proposal is $990,000. Annual cost <br />is $330.000 for each of the 3 years of the study. <br /> <br />K. FUNDING: <br /> <br />It is planned that the U.S. Geological Survey will provide the majority of <br />the funding needed for this study because most of the results will meet the <br />needs of the National infrastructure resources project. Additional funding <br />needed to complete this study must be secured from local sources and from <br />U.S. Geological Survey matching funds. <br /> <br />Proposed sources of funding include: <br /> <br />Source <br />Colorado Division of Water Resources <br />Weld County <br />Laramier County <br />Boulder County <br />Northern Colorado Water Conservancy District <br />Metro Waste Water Reclamation District <br />Cities of Greeley, Fort Collins, Loveland, <br />Longmont.
