The City of Greeley, has selected the firm of Morrison-Knudsen Engineers, Inc. to perform this engineering feasibility study. The proposed cost of the study is $45,366. On May 15, 1987, the Colorado ,iater Conservation Board authorized monies to be allocated from the CWCB Construction Fund to fund 50% of the study costs. As a result of this authorization, the cost of the feasibility study will be paid equally by the CWCB and the City of Greeley. The CWCB's authorized funding for this study shall be considered a part of this project's total cost and shall be repaid to the Construction Fund in full wi th interest (5% per annum) if the project is found to be feasible and if subsequently built with CWCB Construction Fund monies, or if built within ten (10) years with other monies. This letter confirms the City of Greeley's ability and intent to provide funding for 50% of the cost of this engineering feasibility! study, an expenditure of $22,683. This contract, submitted for your review and acceptance is very similar to the contract accepted by your organization and executed in 1986 by the City of Greeley and MKE for the feasibility studies on Comanche, Peterson Lake, and Twin Lakes Dams. In conversations with Mr. Ioannides on May 15, 1987, Mr. Eric Wilkinson of my staff learned that a legal opinion, similar to that EXHIBIT B (Fe~sibility Report Contract) ,.
