The drip or trickle irrigation methods
are highly efficient means of irrigating with limited amounts
of water. There is considerable potential for the addition
of more orchard or vineyard area in Beaver Park.
The Beaver Park area is served with domestic water by
the Penrose Water District, Water for the central water
system is supplied by the irrigation system into a one million
gallon storage pond at the treatment plant, The water system
has 687 taps at present and has increased by 71 ~aps in the
last 6 months, The water district currently has a moritorium
on new taps until the treatment plant is expanded, The water
system has a present treatment capacity of 400,000 gallons
per day and is expanding the treatment plant to 800,000 gal-
lons per day. The treated storage capacity is 1,15 million
gallons.
The Beaver Park area is a popular area for the develop-
ment of suburban housing_on 5 or 10 acre tracts, This devel-
