<br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />LEMON DAM PROJECT <br />FEASIBILITY REPORT <br /> <br />1.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> <br />This feasibility report describes the engineering, economic <br />and environmental evaluations performed for the Lemon Dam Project <br />which includes repair of the outlet gates and the installation of <br />a hydroelectric turbine. This report has been prepared by Harris <br />Water Engineering (HWE) through funding from the Colorado Water <br />Resources and Power Development Authority (Authority) for the <br />Florida Water Conservancy District (District). <br /> <br />The District operates Lemon Dam which is located <br />western Colorado about fourteen miles northeast of <br />(Figure 1.1) and it holds the Federal Energy Regulatory <br />(FERC) preliminary permit on the hydropower plant. <br /> <br />in South- <br />Durango, <br />Conunission <br /> <br />The chapters in this report describe the technical, economic, <br />and environmental evaluations performed for the project. Techni- <br />cal data, calculations and drawings are included in Volume II - <br />Appendices.
