<br />r <br /> <br />by LeBorgne, seconded by Loschke to send a letter to Unocal <br />stipulating Unocal sign the water agreement by June 26, 1986 <br />as approved by the Council. Also stating that if the agreement <br />is not executed by the June 26, 1986 deadline the price will be <br />raised to $4,708.36 per C,F,S, regardless of the amount of <br />water subordinated. The motion passed unanimously with Richard <br />Looney abstaining. <br /> <br />Public Works: Daryl Shrum reported the street projects are <br />progressing rather smoothly with exception of LaPlaCa Circle <br />which will be finalized by early next week. The ditches are <br />operational, but the Town needs to control the ditches by <br />lockingrthe headgates. If there is a demand for additional <br />water, the public should report to the Town Hall and additional <br />water will be released. <br /> <br />Domestic Water Consumption: Daryl Shrum recommended to the <br />Board to install a meter at the cemetary because they are <br />using aloe of domestic water. <br /> <br />4th of July Celebration, Donations of $250,00 each from <br />Unocal, Exxon and Thunder River Furs Trading Post for the <br />4th of July Celebration have been pledged. The Parachute/ <br />Battlement Mesa Recreation District would like to donate but <br />do not know the amount they could obligate, but will place it <br />in their budget for the 1987 fiscal year, On a motion by <br />Loschke, seconded by LeBorgne to have the ,3,000,00 Fireworks <br />Display that is allotted in the budget for the 4th of July <br />Celebration. <br /> <br />Town Attorney: Daryl Shrum presented the qualifications of <br />two attorney s that have been interviewed. A letter will be <br />sent to them stipulating that the Board will make a decision <br />in the near future. <br /> <br />Variances: There will be a Board of Adjustment meeting on <br />June 12, 1986 at 6,30 P,M, The applications from Ed Koch, <br />B,M.I, and Wilma Brown will be heard, Daryl Shrum recommended <br />that all variances be approved on a contingency basis for one <br />year at a time in case of changes in the Town. <br /> <br />Town Engineer: Daryl Shrum stated to the Board that there were <br />a couple firms interested in the town engineer position. The <br />Board stated they would decide that with the new Town Administrator. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />Amendment to Colorado Water Conservation Board Contract: Daryl <br />Shrum presented to the Board changes in the repayment dates to <br />the ewCB contract and needed signatures, On a motion by Almond, <br />seconded by Baker to adopt Resolution 86-2 to amend the Colorado <br />Conservation Board contract. <br /> <br />Other Matters, On a motion by Loschke, seconded by Almond to pay <br />Barbara Duff 20 cents a mile for gas. Motion passed unanimously. <br /> <br />On a motion by Baker, seconded by Almond to go into executive <br />session at 9:42 P.M. to discuss personnel matters. The motion <br />passed unanimously. <br /> <br />On a motion by Loschke, seconded by Baker to hire David Rousseau <br />as interim Town Administrator on a seven (7) month probationary <br />basis for the remainder of 1986 with a salary of $25,000 plus <br />$2,000,00 maximum benefits, Also, on the condition that if it <br />does not work, out, Mr, Rousseau will be reemployed at the old <br />pay rate and same position as Public Works Assistant. The motion <br />passed unanimously. <br /> <br />There being no further business the meeting was adjourned at <br />10,29 P,M. <br />
